Sleepless in London

Sleepless in London

What happens on Valentine’s Night, stays on Valentine’s Night… That’s the rule.

After a trip home to bury his father, US photographer in London Caleb Landry finds himself stranded in a Soho bar full of boozy women brooding his way through his least favourite night of the year.

But when college art teacher Rosie Smith tries out the cheesiest pick-up line ever on him, Cal becomes captivated by this good girl with a filthy mind – especially when he discovers she has a V-Day allergy of her own. So he dares her to one smokin’ hot Valentine’s night hook-up with no questions asked, satisfaction guaranteed…

But when Valentine’s Night turns into the morning after, suddenly Rosie’s asking questions she shouldn’t, and putting Cal in danger of breaking his number one rule.

  • Breath taking pages

Each page left me wandering what’s coming next. I like the simple romance yet breath taking moments. Cal does deserve his happy ever after just as Rosie was helped to bring out the beauty in herself

  • Enjoyed it!

I almost didn't read this based on the harsh review that called it out for slut shaming, but to me it read it as tongue in cheek humor. Cute book, happy I decided to give it a try!

  • no thank you

The writing is great but I hate how the author portrays the main character and the language she uses. The term “femi nazi” is said and it belittles the very important movement that everyone should be striving for. The author then proceeds to condemn women by giving Rosie thoughts like “score one, to Rosie the slut” and “I am Superslut, hear me roar.” Slut is a derogatory term used to shame women and this book is teaching its readers that sex is shameful. I tried to ignore it but it really bothered me, I couldn’t finish the book.

  • A great quick read

Caleb Landry has returned to London from his fathers funeral in the U.S. on Valentines Day. He finds himself in a Soho bar to drown is sorrows convinced that's the best he's going to get until Rosie Smith tries out the cheesiest pickup line on him. The two leave the bar agreeing to one night which turns into more when she passes out just inside the front door. I really enjoyed this book the characters are interesting and made me want to see how there story ends. It is great for a quick read that won't leave you disappointed.

  • Loved it!

What a great story for Valentine's Day. Rosie has the V-day allergy and Cal is the perfect medicine to make her feel better. Will the one night stand turn into much more even though Cal does not believe in long term. Great character envelopment, with sizzling chemistry in this short funny, sweet but sexy story that takes place in London. The perfect story to satisfy your romance desire.
