Author’s writing style is really hard to follow many times throughout the book. Sentences seem like place fillers and make little sense. The main characters thoughts are extremely stretched and drawn out, which makes one just skim through the pages until a feasible and detail worthy sentences pops up. No crazy plot twists or shockers at all. Also, the main character is extremely unlikable and rude.

Maybe I am just not use to Miranda's style or maybe her style is not for me, but this story was not bad nor amazing to me. The beginning seemed chaotic, possibly too fast-paced for me; The middle was where things got interesting and I started to enjoy the novel; The ending got confusing for me with so many names and events taking place. Overall, Miranda's reputation and the reviews really motivated me to finish this book, and there was a part of me that was curious how everything would tie together in the end. While it was enough to get me to finish the book relatively quickly, I am surprised at how little I enjoyed the book yet never got discouraged to finish it. With all this said, I think it is a unique plot and I definitely can still understand the hype many give this novel.

I haven’t read a Megan Miranda book that I didn’t love yet so I’m not surprised that the perfect stranger has become a new favorite! It was very suspenseful and had me begging for answers. I know some other people have criticized it saying it was too hard to follow but I LOVED it, all the twists and turns and suspense! I never know how it’s going to end and that’s why I love it. My only complaints would be the overuse of certain metaphors and the loose ends to one of the characters (Paige). But I might have missed something. Other than that, it was a fantastic read!!
