The Divine Comedy is a long narrative poem by Dante Alighieri. It is completed in 1320, a year before his death in 1321. The Book is divided into three parts: Inferno (Hell), Purgatorio (Purgatory), and Paradiso (Paradise).

    Why is it backwards?

  • publisher’s weekly extract is misleading

    People should be aware that this is actually a really old translation supplied by Project Gutenberg, and not the one specified in that extract. Also, the sections are reversed - it should be Inferno -> Purgatory -> Paradise But the book presents it as Paradise -> Purgatory -> Inferno
