Terrific world-building and plot. I do not want to give much away, but this book is well worth the read. Buying book 2 next!

Really interesting concept. For me I wish there was a touch higher ratio of action to intrigue. I found the inclusion of homosexuality, and transgenderism as an unpleasant distraction which is personal preference; but the concept of it becoming an evolutionary peak to be nonsensical from a scientific standpoint, but I guess the author needed to put the fiction part into science-fiction.

Just couldn’t get into it. Clumsy. Poor character development. Made it to 1/3 the way through and hung it up. Next.

Impenetrable garbage. He writes like his tummy is upset, actually naming non-relevant characters who appear once. Who does that? I’m several hundred pages in and refuse to finish this claptrap. Waste of money.
