I loved that Amanda wasn’t a weak woman in this book. The military men were awesome with a great twist of a young intelligent boy. Enjoyed the read! Going on to the next book for sure

This was an interesting read. The main characters were likeable and the story had a good premise. But some aspects of the plot seemed rushed and underdeveloped. There were scenes with a lot of detail, and then scenes with major details missing. It felt strange that they spent so much time being careful and on the run, and suddenly at the research ship they abandoned their caution, were caught, managed to turn the situation around, and everything was happily resolved. I like happily-ever-afters, but this seemed like the author ran out of time and had to make everything work out in a few pages, however unrealistic and forced it felt.
