Flights delayed as Stansted Airport hit by IT glitch

Several flights have been delayed at Stansted Airport after it was hit by an IT glitch.

The malfunction hit systems including check-in, baggage and security, the airport said. Queues snaking around the outside of the main terminal building could be seen in footage filmed at the Essex airport this morning.

The airport's website showed numerous flights were affected, with some passengers taking off four hours later than scheduled. Arrivals were not impacted.
