Man, 26, stabbed to death

A murder investigation has been launched after a 26-year-old man was stabbed to death in northwest London.

Police were called to reports of an altercation in Kingsbury Road, Kingsbury, shortly after 3.30am on Sunday. Officers found a man with a stab wound and he was taken to hospital but was later pronounced dead.

His next of kin have been informed, with formal identification and a post-mortem examination still to take place. No arrests have been made, the Metropolitan Police said.

Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo, who is leading the murder investigation, described the incident as "tragic".
