Beckham meets King and Queen at Chelsea Flower Show

David Beckham has met the King and Queen at the Chelsea Flower Show, ahead of the launch of a new charity campaign to get more young people into horticulture.

The former Manchester United, Real Madrid, and England star attended the event in London for the first time in his role as ambassador to the King's Foundation, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year. Beckham, who has been an ambassador for the foundation for a year, met the royal couple at the Highgrove Shop stand.

The stand sells products from the King's Highgrove Estate in Gloucestershire, as well as showcasing designs from fashion retailers, and all proceeds go towards the work of the foundation. Beckham also visited the London Square Chelsea Pensioners Garden, and spent time with legendary gardener and fellow King's Foundation ambassador Alan Titchmarsh.
