Nurse, 29, struck off after filming men and child in Asda toilets

A nurse has been struck off after filming men and a child in Asda toilets.

Pheddie Delos Reyes, 29, was convicted of two counts of voyeurism and one count of making an indecent image of a child after filming people while urinating in the men's toilets at Asda in Swindon in July 2023, according to a Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) tribunal panel judgment. Delos Reyes, who had been a registered nurse since 2019, was given a suspended sentence at Swindon Magistrates' Court last June.

Wiltshire Police were called to Asda by a customer, who said he had been filmed. Officers arrested Delos Reyes and informed the Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where he was working at the time.

CCTV footage from the supermarket revealed that Delos Reyes had been in the toilets for nearly three hours after arriving at 6pm, with about fifty men and children entering the toilets during this time. The urinals in the facility were out of order, and only one cubicle was available, as Delos Reyes occupied the other one.

Officers found several videos of men and of one child urinating in the toilet on devices seized from Delos Reyes, filmed through a hole between the cubicles.
