Israel's illegal settlements - and those fighting back

???? Listen to Sky News Daily on your podcast app ???? Israel has authorised 22 new Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank, including legalising unauthorised outposts.

Such settlements are considered illegal under international law - a designation Israel disputes. There's nothing new about settlements, they've been popping up in the area since 1967.

But since the Hamas attack on 7 October, tensions have intensified. On the Sky News Daily, Niall Paterson is joined by our international correspondent Alex Rossi and producer Orly Halpern, who have visited the Palestinian village of Ras al-Ayn, where activists on the ground have reported a surge in violence and intimidation by Israeli settlers aimed at driving Palestinian families from their homes.
