Black cab rapist John Worboys investigated over alleged rape 25 years ago

Black cab rapist John Worboys is being investigated for an alleged sexual assault dating back to the 1990s.

The 68-year-old, now known as John Radford, was jailed indefinitely for public protection in 2009, with a minimum term of eight years, after being found guilty of 19 sexual offences against 12 women committed between 2006 and 2008.In December 2019, he received a life sentence at the Old Bailey, with a minimum term of six years, after admitting to spiking the drinks of four women. Police are now investigating an allegation of rape in Blackpool dating back more than 25 years, during a time when Worboys was working as a stripper.
