Suspect appears in court charged with murder after death of man at holiday park

A suspect has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man at a holiday park in Inverclyde.

Emergency crews were called to Rothesay Gardens in Wemyss Bay at about 12.05am on Sunday. Raymond Cosgrove, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police Scotland arrested and charged Sean Ward, 21, in connection with Mr Cosgrove's death. Ward, of Motherwell in North Lanarkshire, appeared before Greenock Sheriff Court on Tuesday.

The suspect made no plea to the separate charges of murder and a breach of bail conditions. Ward was remanded in custody and is due back in the dock within the next eight days.
