Lake Garda, is an important tourist area in the shadow of the Dolomite mountains in Northern Italy

At just over 50 km long it is the largest lake in Italy and at its deepest point has a depth of 350 m.

The north of the lake seems to be more suitable for the people who enjoy a quiet, peaceful holiday. The south has a theme park and a few man-made beaches so is for the more outgoing, adventurous person.

There are small resort towns located all around Lake Garda. The lake is well known for its water sports and outdoor activities.
