Kingdom of the Wicked

Kingdom of the Wicked

A James Patterson Presents Novel From the #1 New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Stalking Jack the Ripper series comes a new blockbuster series...  Two sisters. One brutal murder. A quest for vengeance that will unleash Hell itself... And an intoxicating romance. Emilia and her twin sister Vittoria are streghe -- witches who live secretly among humans, avoiding notice and persecution. One night, Vittoria misses dinner service at the family's renowned Sicilian restaurant. Emilia soon finds the body of her beloved twin...desecrated beyond belief. Devastated, Emilia sets out to find her sister's killer and to seek vengeance at any cost-even if it means using dark magic that's been long forbidden. Then Emilia meets Wrath, one of the Wicked-princes of Hell she has been warned against in tales since she was a child. Wrath claims to be on Emilia's side, tasked by his master with solving the series of women's murders on the island. But when it comes to the Wicked, nothing is as it seems...

Reviews
  • Slow and repetitious

I read her other series first, throne of the fallen, and decided to read her earlier books. It was so slow and without any actual progression of the story. I’m half way through the book and the story has just stalled. Not even going to try and finish it. There is no way she wrote the throne of the fallen without using AI writing tools. Her writing could not have improved to that level.

  • Fantastic beginning that went downhill

Very enjoyable intro, mid-way it started having pacing issues then by the end i just wanted it to be over.

  • Good read

This was interesting read and I do recommend it. I gave it four stars because for me it wasn’t the page turner I was hoping for. The story line was good if a bit convoluted at times. Don’t want to spoil it but the ending wasn’t what I hoped it would be.

  • Oh My God

Definitely a book to read for people who are interested with fantasy and fiction concepts! The only reason I give this a four star is the ending had a twist I did not like. Otherwise this is a good book with a good writing style.
