Collected Works of William Hope Hodgson. Illustrated

William Hope Hodgson was an English novelist, short story writer, poet, photographer, lecturer, sailor, soldier, and bodybuilder.
He produced a large body of work, consisting of essays, short fiction, and novels, spanning several overlapping genres including horror, fantastic fiction, and science fiction.
Hodgson used his experiences at sea to lend authentic detail to his short horror stories, many of which are set on the ocean. His novels feature more cosmic themes, but several of his novels also focus on horrors associated with the sea.
He is best known as the author of the weird fiction novels The House on the Borderland and The Night Land, and as the creator of the character Carnacki, the Ghost Hunter.
Hodgson's fiction has been a great influence on a number of horror writers, especially celebrated for his authentic narratives on the horrors of the sea and his creation of the enduring supernatural investigator Thomas Carnacki.
