Human Rights Studies And Social Development

Human Rights Studies And Social Development

This work is an interdisciplinary study that investigates the nature and effectiveness of the mobilization of law by domestic nongovernment organizations to enforce human rights. It is based on the proposition that the mobilization of law by human rights DNGOs is primarily determined by internal aspects of their organizational abilities, and argues that the effectiveness of such mobilization of law can be determined with an acceptable degree of accuracy. The purpose of the study is to contribute towards the enforcement of human rights law, to create ideas that might be practically useful to human rights DNGOs, and to begin the process of filling the gap in human rights literature on human rights DNGOs.
