This volume reveals the central thought of 1 and 2 Samuel, which is that God needs the cooperation of all His people to end this age and bring in the Christ the King and His kingdom to earth. This cooperation is the Hannah ministry to produce Samuel, a person fully committed to God, a prophet, priest, judge, and a man of prayer. This is a type of the overcomers whom the Lord is calling in Revelation 2 and 3. The spiritual principles, life lessons, and holy warnings are seen in the degraded , traditional priesthood and in the history of David. The persistent war of God’s people with the Amalekites is seen to typify the war of the flesh and the Spirit. Church history is also revealed through the history of the ark typifying Christ and the tabernacle typifying the church.
