The Quiet Game

The Quiet Game

INTRODUCING PENN CAGE...

From the author of Cemetery Road comes the first intelligent, gripping thriller in the #1 New York Times bestselling Penn Cage series.

Natchez, Mississippi. Jewel of the South. City of old money and older sins. And childhood home of Houston prosecutor Penn Cage.

In the aftermath of a personal tragedy, this is where Penn has returned for solitude. This is where he hopes to find peace. What he discovers instead is his own family trapped in a mystery buried for thirty years but never forgotten—the town’s darkest secret, now set to trap and destroy Penn as well.

  • Unfortunately, this novel does not stand up to the test of time

It is dated, overly long, and the actions of the characters leave one shaking their head and asking why? Was it worth it? Was there another way to go about getting justice? Was it worth the cost of human life? And ultimately, were the actions taken even logical? The nos outweigh the yeses. Am I glad I bought this book and invested my time in reading it? Probably not.

A fantastic read!! In a small town in Natchez Tennessee secrets are revealed by an attorney named Penn Cage, once a Texas prosecutor. He is from this small town where their are secrets about a racially motivated murder of a black man by a Judge named Leo Marston, an extremly wealthy man and a rookie FBI agent who is now the director of the FBI who are willing to murder to keep a secret of their sordid past. Enjoyed immensely !! My highest recommendation!!
