Dance Hall of the Dead

Dance Hall of the Dead

Two Native-American boys have vanished into thin air, leaving a pool of blood behind them. Lieutenant Joe Leaphorn of the Navajo Tribal Police has no choice but to suspect the very worst, since the blood that stains the parched New Mexican ground once flowed through the veins of one of the missing, a young Zuñi. But his investigation into a terrible crime is being complicated by an important archaeological dig . . . and a steel hypodermic needle. And the unique laws and sacred religious rites of the Zuñi people are throwing impassable roadblocks in Leaphorn's already twisted path, enabling a craven murderer to elude justice or, worse still, to kill again.

The book in book store shows length 256 pages, when you get download, it only shows 190, then first 30 pages are not of book itself it’s advertising, and summary of his other books. So that leaves 160, you get and end again has things at it, so I’m wondering what happened to Apple and others few years back price gouging and refunding money, coz some one forgot adjust price on his books, the 104 books and 84 books for 300 pages is hard accept then pay 11$-13$ for around not even around 100 pages totally not worth it and last Hillerman books I will buy

  • Dance Hall of The Dead. Tony Hillerman

Two young Native American boys have disappeared.A lot of blood is found at there last known location.Lieutenant Joe Leaphorn of the Navajo Tribal Police is investigating their disappearance with very few clues as to what happened. Also interfering in the investigation is an archaeological dig where he find evidence of “salting” at the location and he believes the archeologist leader named Reynolds is placing artifacts at the site to prove his theory. Leaphorn also believes Reynold is the killer of both of the boys and the father of one of them. An excellent read!! Enjoyed immensely!!
