If It Was Easy, They'd Call the Whole Damn Thing a Honeymoon

If It Was Easy, They'd Call the Whole Damn Thing a Honeymoon

"Hilarious, smart, and utterly addicting. Watch out, Nora Ephron." -Valerie Frankel
Jenna McCarthy presents an uproarious but insightful peek behind the curtains at the unholy state of matrimony. With ballsy wit and bawdy humor, she explores everything from male domestic idiocy and the frustrating misfires in spousal communication to how to stay true to the peskiest of vows: forsaking all others. Part in-your-face guide, part brutal confession, this book is a must-read manifesto on surviving marriage in an age when everyone seems to live forever and getting a divorce is as easy as ordering a latte.

  • Yuck!

I hate that she refers to her husband so negatively and makes it seem like the rest of us should feel the same way about our husbands. I did not like the condescending tone or the way she tries to seem like an expert when she clearly is not. Skip this one.

  • Terrible man-bashing book

I couldn't stand this book. I was looking for a fun read and admittedly thought I was purchasing a Jenny McCarthy book (oops, my mistake), but couldn't believe this book was even published. It's written in a catty, disrespectful voice. Men are used and abused throughout. All so the author can appear like the next Roseanne Barr. Shockingly one of her book agents tries to refer to her as the next Dr. Phil on her website. I'd be pissed if were Dr. Phil. Ms. McCarthy has no psychological training or credentials. She just sounds like a whining house wife with a miserable marriage. Don't waste your time.
