Excellent writing, compelling storyline.

Ruth, a pastors daughter, is best friends with Everett, the town black sheep. When a body is discovered in the swamps, surrounded by strange mystical symbols, the friends have to delve into their pasts among the small town religious community to keep their secrets from being found out. Loved this book, the imagery, the poetry, the characters and their reasons behind their decisions. One of my favorite authors and this book might be my favorite of hers. 5/5⭐️
