Some mistakes are worth repeating. Liza knows that cocky billionaire Matt Russo is the wrong man for her. Tempted and Taken is the sixth full-length novel set within the Italian Stallions series, and is best read after the novella, Naughty and Nice. Liza and Matt’s families are enemies, but their contemptuous relationship explodes into a passionate affair. Will they be able to let go of past hurts to find forever in each other’s arms, or will they face misery and a life alone? Oh my goodness, I experienced so many emotions while reading Liza and Matt’s journey to romance! There were so many ups and downs, pushes and pulls, temptations and desires, plus throw in the epic family feud that sometimes it was hard to tell which way was up or if I wanted Liza to end up with Matt, but goodness, I loved every second of their journey! Liza was open and honest about what she wanted, needed, and was feeling. I liked her vulnerability, but I also loved her strength and that she could take care of herself. Matt had a great redemption story, going from a villain to the perfect hero for Liza. He was ruthless with his business, determined to keep his emotions on lockdown, and I loved how he slowly allowed Liza to see the real him and even some of his vulnerabilities. I thought their connection was so strong and practically felt through the pages, and I loved all of the twists and turns that their relationship took, even when I wanted to shake Matt, haha. There was definitely some drama, as to be expected, but I absolutely loved the ending and the importance of family and coming together to support one another. This was a fantastic read and I can’t wait for the next book in this series!

When they find themselves in the right time and place will they finally get the heat on? One click to find out in this newest addition that doesn’t disappoint. I love all the yummy tension between them and how their characters grow as they find their forever. This was a definite must one click and I can’t wait for more of this series!

If you read Matt and Liza's prequel, Naughty and Nice, you know that man is tightly wound. But until reading Tempted and Taken, we aren't aware of just how much he holds inside. And boy, it's a lot! So it's even easier to fall for this damaged, no feelings allowed, playboy. But if anyone can get through to him, it's Liza Moretti. Having read (and loved!) all the previous Italian Stallion books, I though I was ready for Liza. But this strong, funny, passionate lady has layers which she does not share with even her closest friends and relatives...and those two catagories overlap. She's a much more complex character, obviously, in her own story, and the connect with Matt is infinitely more twisty than the infamous Russo/Moretti family feud. I loved the little moments of fun between the two of them, not to mention Liza's connection with her cousins and brothers. And as much as every other couple, or throuple, became instant favorites, Matt and Liza strike a cord within me that catapolts them above eveyone else. So now it's up to the talented Mari Carr to make the next couple push Matt and Liza off the top of that podium of greatness. I'm pretty sure she can do that with her eyes closed!

What a heartbreaking journey for both Matt and Liza! Can a heartbroken man find the strength to open his heart to the truth and let Liza in or will he hurt her beyond repair? What an emotional, heart racing love story that brings many things to light. Loved it!!!. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

TEMPTED AND TAKEN by Mari Carr is the sixth in her scorching hot Italian Stallions series. Liza Moretti and Matt Russo know better than to spend time together. Their families have been feuding for generations, and a little chemistry can’t possibly stand up under the pressure. Or can it? Mari Carr’s enemies-ish to lovers is completely delicious. Matt and Liza are just right together, despite what their prior experience has told them. And seeing them come to know and trust their true selves with each other is wonderful indeed. Despite how different they may seem at first glance, Matt and Liza are well matched in and out of the bedroom, and their passionate natures make them supremely successful when they set their minds to action. I totally loved Tempted and Taken--it was supremely satisfying to witness Liza and Matt figure out what they truly wanted and go after what they deserved. Because ultimately, this Moretti and this Russo together? Magic.
