Fady A. Rizk was born in Lebanon in 1963, where his family owned and operated a private hospital. On April 13, 1975, everything changed—a bloody and harrowing civil war began that would last fifteen years, claiming the lives of 150,000 and leaving the country in ruins. Faced with the prospect of his country’s destruction, Fady made a fateful decision that would alter the course of his life.
But that wouldn’t be Fady’s only fight for survival. He moved to America to pursue a better life and an education at Syracuse Universit. He went on to meet the love of his life at his first job in NYC and started a family of his own. After talking his way onto the Wall Street trading floors, he ended up working for one of the “Four Horsemen of Wall Street,” a captivating journey that led him to NatWest in London and back to the US to work for Anthony Scaramucci’s SkyBridge Capital.
As if his intense battles in the vaulted halls of Wall Street weren’t enough, in 2013, Fady was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a malady that has occupied his life for the past decade, punctuated by a bout with COVID that nearly ended his life. But just as he had battled from deepest despair in the front lines of Beirut, he survived.
Told in thrilling and brisk prose, with astounding tales of war, intrigue, perseverance and love—Fady A. Rizk is a powerful and captivating new voice that will inspire readers in all walks of life, particularly those who have faced the same struggles, whether in the workplace, in the war-torn places of the world, or in their own personal battle with health and hardship.
