Man arrested on suspicion of murdering 93-year-old woman
A 65-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a 93-year-old woman in Cornwall, police have said.
Officers were called to an address in Cherrill Gardens in Bude on Sunday afternoon. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and her family has been informed.
The man arrested is from the local area and remains in custody, Devon and Cornwall Police said. "It is believed the man and woman were known to each other," said Detective Inspector Rob Smith.
The local community should be "reassured" the death is being treated as an "isolated incident.
