Tommy Robinson will not face charges over alleged assault at railway station

Tommy Robinson will not be charged over an alleged assault at St Pancras station last month after the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) decided "there was not a realistic prospect of conviction".

The 42-year-old far-right activist was arrested at Luton Airport on 4 August in connection with the incident, which took place on 28 July. Footage on social media appeared to show Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, walking back and forth next to a man lying motionless on the ground.

British Transport Police said in a statement - which does not name Robinson - that the alleged victim "did not wish to provide a statement to the investigation". The force added officers had gathered evidence, "including CCTV footage and witness statements.
