Boy, 17, critical after being shot in north London

A 17-year-old boy is in a critical condition after being shot in north London.

Police and paramedics were called to High Road, Arnos Grove, at 5.04pm on Thursday. The teenager sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remains.

Metropolitan Police are urging anyone who may have information to get in contact on 101. Detective Sergeant Catherine Dempster said officers were "working at pace to identify the perpetrators".

She added: "Did you hear gunshots? Do you have any CCTV/dashcam footage within the vicinity of the incident? If so, please come forward."
