Police 'increasingly concerned' for boy, 13, missing for nearly two weeks

Police are calling on the public to help find a 13-year-old boy who has not been seen in nearly two weeks.

Abdul was last seen leaving his family home in Islington, north London, on Saturday 13 December, and has not been spotted since. The Metropolitan Police have now warned they are becoming "increasingly concerned for his welfare" as the weather becomes colder.

The teenager was wearing a black tracksuit with white trainers when he was last seen. His father said: "As a family, we are deeply concerned for Abdul's safety and are asking for the public's help in locating him." Meanwhile, Detective Chief Inspector Sarb Kaur said: "We are increasingly concerned for his welfare, particularly as temperatures drop, and want to see him home and safe.

"Abdul should be spending Christmas day with his family, like any other 13-year-old boy." DCI Kaur added the force believes the teenager could be in Hounslow. She has asked that anybody who spots him should contact police immediately, by calling 999 and quoting 8067/13DEC.

The officer added: "Abdul, if you're reading this, please get in touch with us or your family, we just want you home and safe.".
