Drill rapper who twice escaped police custody detained in France
A drill rapper who escaped from police custody twice in the space of a week has been detained in France. Daniel Boakye, 21, who performs under the name Dsavv, had escaped from West Middlesex University Hospital last month, only to be caught by officers the next day.
The rapper had been serving time at HMP Feltham for robbery, and was due for deportation to Ghana. However, officers had put him in hospital under police custody so he could be treated for a medical issue.
This time he was taken to Lewisham Hospital in southeast London, only to escape again on 15 February. It is believed that he was later smuggled out of the country in a lorry.
