Man arrested after young father shot dead in home
A man has been arrested over the death of a 26-year-old father who was shot dead in Motherwell last year.
Jordan Gray was found dead at his home in Shields Court, North Lanarkshire, on 15 December. He is believed to have suffered a gunshot wound the night before.
Sky News understands a shotgun was used in the killing. Police Scotland said in a statement on Tuesday that a 58-year-old man had been arrested as part of their investigation.
"Officers executed warrants in the Muirhouse Road area of Motherwell around 6.45am," the a spokesperson said. The force added that the investigation into the circumstances of the death is continuing.
Crimestoppers offered a reward of up to £20,000 for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the shooting. Mr Groome said: "Jordan's baby will have to grow up without knowing how much his dad loved him. "Help us stop them from doing this to someone else and leaving another family heartbroken.".
