A major search operation is under way after a man went missing in the River Tay.

Emergency crews were called to a report of three men in the water in Perth at about 7.45pm on Thursday. Two of the men were traced and were checked over by the Scottish Ambulance Service.

Searches continued at Moncreiffe Island in the area on Friday. Police, mountain rescue, the air support unit and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were among those involved.
