Young Jim Kirk wants nothing to do with Starfleet, and never wants to leave Earth. In the summer of 2249, he's a headstrong seventeen-year-old barely scraping by in San Francisco, haunted by horrific memories from his past.

I thought this was a great read! I definitely imagined Kirk as Chris Pine and Spock as Zachary Quinto, just to get a glimpse of what they would look like. Great book though.

This was an Amazing adventure with the classic elements of great storytelling. I am anxious to see the next installment of this series. A worthy read that pulled you deeper into the plot as the story unfolds.
