The term "Applied Intelligence" was created to represent its practicality. It emphasizes applications of applied intelligent systems to solve real-life problems in all areas including engineering, science, industry, automation, robotics, business, finance, medicine, biomedicine, bioinformatics, cyberspace, man-machine interactions, etc.
