A Confederate Soldier At War

A Confederate Soldier At War

Wayland Fuller Dunaway was born in Lancaster County, Virginia on December 26th 1841. 20 years later he joined the Confederate army with the rank of lieutenant in Company F, Virginia Infantry and fought in many battles.

In 1913 this book was first published as 'Reminiscences Of A Rebel' and chronicles what he believed to be the best and worst aspects of the war including his experiences at Gettysburg, Gaines Mill, Seven Pines and Frayser's Farm. This updated and expanded edition contains vivid illustrations and fascinating photographs from the period, including portraits of the key personnel in Dunaway's remarkable story.
