The Mule-Bone

The Mule-Bone

The plot of this stage comedy by Zora Neale Hurston and Langston Hughes, in which two men compete for a woman’s affection, is based on a folktale collected by Hurston in Florida. Though written in 1930, the play was not performed until 1991 due to a falling out between the authors.
