Great Vampire Stories

Great Vampire Stories

This book contains the complete manuscripts previously provided in the three volumes of the Great Vampire Stories books.  Tales of vampires are still as frightening as they were when I first read Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

Volume 1 contains some of the scariest, and most fascinating stories.  It begins with Bram Stoker’s classic Dracula and includes the following complete tales of strange and exotic places and even more strange and exotic creatures:
The Vampyre; A Tale, by John William Polidori,
Clarimonde, by Théophile Gautier, and
Carmilla, by J. Sheridan LeFanu.

Volume 2 in the vampire series, continues the pattern of Great Vampire Stories, Vol. 1, and contains some of the scariest, and most fascinating stories.  This volume includes the following complete tales of strange and exotic places and even more strange and exotic creatures:
Vikram and the Vampire, by  the famous world traveler, Sir Richard Burton, and the unusual Varney, The Vampire, by Thomas Preskett Prest.

Volume 3 in this series includes the following complete tales of strange and exotic places and even more strange and exotic creatures:
The House of the Vampire, by George Sylvester Viereck (A “traditional” vampire story)
The Vampire Cat, by Gerard Van Etten (A stage play!)
Each Man Kills, by Victoria Glad (Science Fiction!)
The Dream Doctor, by Arthur B. Reeve (A murder mystery!)

Don’t read these too late at night.  Keep the lights on if you do.
