Voyage to the Moon

Savinien de Cyrano de Bergerac was a French novelist, playwright, epistolarian and duelist. his works were a part of the libertine literature of the first half of the seventeenth century. Today he is best known as the inspiration for Edmond Rostand’s most famous drama Cyrano de Bergerac which, although it includes elements of his life, also contains invention and myth.
The main hero wanted to visit the Moon, to test his belief that the Moon was a planet just like the Earth. He invented a special mechanism that could deliver him to the Moon. However, his effort was only partially successful; he ascended far into the sky, but the Earth had turned under him. He landed in Canada… What happened next? What adventures did he face?
