GST : Goods and Services Tax

The Goods and Services tax (GST) was launched on the midnight of 30th June, 2017 by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This GST is an indirect tax applicable throughout India replacing multiple taxes system levied by the central and state government. A single GST replaced existing taxes and levies which include: Central Excise Duty, Service Tax, Additional Custom Duty, State-level VATs and Octroi. The GST is imposed at different rates on different items. Major Benefit to the consumers by abolishing all the checkpoints across the country ensuring free and fast movement of Goods.
