The writing was good. But it was just another book that just stops. There are too many books that are stand alone to waste my time with unfinished story lines.

I originally read Sunkissed Days by Samantha Chase when she shared it in her newsletter and loved it. It was sweet, charming and enchanting. Mallory Westbrook has crushed on Jake for so long, but he never saw her as more than a friend. So, when she visits her grandfather for his birthday, she is determined to have him finally see her. Jake never saw Mallory coming, much less finding himself kissing her. But Mallory is no longer the young girl he remembers, instead she is pulling all these unexpected feelings from him. Can he give in to temptation when she is the granddaughter of a man he respects and works for? I loved watching Jake and Mallory spend a summer exploring each other, but what will happen when the summer ends? They both have dreams they want to accomplish, can they do it together or will they be walking away from each other? Sunkissked Days by Samantha Chase was such a sweet read. This prequel introduces us to Ms. Chase’s new Magnolia Sound series and what a wonderful introduction! It has ALL the emotional elements that make Ms Chase’s books so AMAZING!!! The characters tug on your heartstrings and are so relatable. We’ve all had that teenage crush so we can put ourselves in Mallory’s shoes when it comes to her feelings for Jake. Also her relationship with her great-grandfather really resonated with me as I spent all my summers with my grandparents growing up and they were some of the happiest times of my life. This is what makes Ms. Chase’s books so INCREDIBLE we invest in the characters because we can relate to them. I would definitely recommend this book and I am looking forward to the next book in this series. I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
