A Girl Like You

A Girl Like You

Sam Westbrook has always been the family hell-raiser, but as an adult he's enjoyed not being under the constant watchful eye of his family. That was until his great-grandfather passed away. Forced to move to the small coastal town of Magnolia Sound, Sam can't escape the reputation that has followed him since his teenage years. But he'll have to do it to get his inheritance.

Shelby Abbott was always the good girl – it's what happens when you're the pastor's daughter in a small town. Now, she's ready to leave that image behind. For years she's heard about wild Sam Westbrook, but she never thought she would be the one to catch his eye. And being the center of Sam's attention isn't something Shelby ever prepared for.

Sam's time in Magnolia Sound has an expiration date and Shelby's not sure she's the kind of girl who can be just another one of his flings. But Sam's ready to make some changes. And a girl like her is just who he needs.

  • Amazing!!!

Shelby and Sam were AMAZING together. I don’t think Shelby could have been a more perfect heroine for Sam. She built him up when he didn’t think highly of himself, but she was also a more grounded heroine. My heart aches for Sam and what he was dealing with, whether it was facing his past, or granting her great grandfather’s wishes. I love the side of Shelby he brought out. She became this heroine who no longer went with the flow, but voiced her opinion when she wanted change. I enjoyed catching up with the secondary characters in this book, and can’t wait to get Mason’s story! This is definitely a must read!!

  • Great Read!!

I loved Sam and Shelby’s story! Shelby is a strong, independent woman with a mind of her own. Even as a preachers daughter she stood her ground when it came to her feelings for Sam. Sam made my heart hurt because all he wanted was acceptance from the town and to do the right thing by Shelby but no one would give him a break. This story was inspirational and sexy, romantic and realistic. I couldn’t put it down! Can’t wait to read Mason’s story!

  • Back to the Sound

This is another story from Magnolia Sound. The Westbrook family we met in Sun Kissed Days and Remind Me continues to grow. This is Sam Westbrook’s story. Sam is being forced to stay in Magnolia Sound to carry out his great-grandfather’s last wishes. He left Sam the landscaping business and it is all Sam can do to put in the year required. Shelby Abbott is the preacher’s daughter. She’s always done the right and expected thing…until she falls for the town bad boy. Except the bad boy has grown up into a decent man and Shelby wants everyone to know it. Can their new love help overcome years of expectations on both of them? Another can’t-put-down story from Samantha Chase. Can’t wait for Mason’s story…

  • Heartwarming & Charming!

I am in Love with this series and have been since the beginning. Samantha Chase is an excellent writer with books that ooze heart felt goodness and she continues to capture my heart and soul a little more with each book in this series. Sam Westbrook’s just can’t seem to shake his past reputation of being the bad boy, in the small town of Magnolia Sound. Forced to move there after he inherits a landscaping business from his Great Grandfather that stipulates he must stay for a year, was not what he had planned to do with his life. But although his business is thriving, and everyone is pleased with his work no one will let his past be forgotten. So to get away, from it all, him and his cousin Mason go to a bar in another town where he literally bumps into her! Shelby Abbott is the shy, librarian and the pastor’s daughter in Magnolia Sound. Shelby has always been the good girl. So tired of her boring life, her friend and her head to a bar away from Magnolia Sound, where maybe she can leave her image behind and take a walk on the wild side. And then she bumps into him! For years she had heard all about him. But after talking, dancing and a kiss Shelby leaves Sam without so much as a phone number. Never imaging that he would want to contact her again. Shelby is the complete opposite of what Sam is used to. Will he find her? Will the people of Magnolia Sound finally see the good guy in Sam? Or will he give up his business and leave? You will have to read this to find out. Don’t miss this series! Absolutely brilliant, beautiful, emotional and surprising you will simply love Sam and Shelby’s journey.

  • Sweet & Sexy

This book was an absolute pleasure to read. It is equal parts Sexy, Sweet, Adorable and Heartwarming. Sam and Shelby are just the sweetest couple and I loved being on the ride as they found their HEA. Sam is back in Magnolia Sound for one year to run the landscaping business his great grandfather left to him. He had to leave his life in Virginia which he really did not want to do in order to do that and now that he is back, he is having a hard time escaping the reputation he had when he was younger. Shelby is a hometown girl and works as a librarian. When they first meet at a bar, Sam has no idea who Shelby is, but he is immediately smitten. They may not appear to be a good match on the surface, but as they get to know each other, there couldn't be a more perfect match. I enjoyed watching their relationship grow so much! They just needed to get over a few small speed bumps to get there. Love this story, Love Sam and Shelby and Love this series! I totally can't wait for Mason's story next!!
