Wanting You

Wanting You

A Small Town, Rivals to Lovers, Workplace Romance by New York Times Bestselling Author, Samantha Chase

She's the quiet, small town girl who gets along with everyone. Except him.

He's the new guy in town who's determined to turn her world upside down.

All Chloe Donovan ever wanted was to teach kindergarten and live a simple life in Sweetbriar Ridge. Until she decides she wants more in her life.  Like maybe a good man to share her quiet life. But when she meets Tanner Westyn, Sweetbriar Ridge's biggest ego-maniac and newest kindergarten teacher, she can't help but feel unsettled with all the new changes happening around her town. Especially the unexpected feelings Tanner sparks in her.

A former champion Alpine skier, Tanner loves to compete–in all aspects of his life. But with his skiing career behind him, he's ready to tackle the next phase of his life–teaching. When he lands in Sweetbriar Ridge, a town with a brand-new ski resort, he looks forward to quiet days on the slopes. The one thing he didn't anticipate is how much his competitive nature would rub his new neighbors and colleagues–especially Chloe–the wrong way. What started as a schoolroom challenge with Chloe quickly snowballed into something else outside the school walls.

Everything about Tanner annoyed, frustrated, and intrigued Chloe. But when their heated banter evolves into looks of longing and a connection that can't be denied, she starts to question if they could even have a future together. But if Tanner doesn't want to lose Chloe, he will have to accept that coming in second place means more when the person you love takes the win.

Reviews
  • Opposites attract…

Wanting You is the third book in "The Donovans: Sweetbriar Ridge" series. This is an opposites attract romance. There is drama, passion, angst. What a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I absolutely loved the banter between Tanner and Chloe. They definitely had an instant connection even when Chloe kept trying to fight it. I couldn't put this book down. I can't wait to see what comes next in this series. As always Carly Robins did a great job bringing these character and this story to life.

  • Loved Chloe and Tanner

Wanting You is the 3rd book in The Donavans: Sweetbriar Ridge series but can be read as a standalone. I found Chloe and Tanner’s story to be a little bit slightly more angsty than her previous stories. But, I’m here for it. These two really pushed each other. They are total opposites, and needless to say they each brought out some hidden insecurities within each other because of their pasts. They are both closed off for personal reasons but slowly but surely they get to know each other and lean on each other for support. I loved how Tanner stepped up and became so swoon worthy. There is drama, laughter, banter, and a underlying sexiness and sweetness to this book that is needed. I loved the personal growth for both characters. They are a tight knit family and loved seeing all the support they provided each other. Loved this one. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

  • Kindergarten love

Chloe is a town sweetheart. Tanner is the new guy in town trying to prove something to himself. Of course they will butt heads. I love how in this story both characters had to make changes to make the relationship work but could still be who they are at heart. My only gripe is I feel Chloe's family was a little hard on her. I'm all for tough love but at times I thought they overstepped.

  • Entertaining rivals to lovers, small town romance

𝐖𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐘𝐨𝐮 is the 3rd book in the spin-off series, The Donovans: Sweetbriar Ridge, featuring an entertaining rivals to lovers small town romance for Chloe and Tanner. Chloe Donovan is the sweet girl in town who gels with everyone, but when the second Kindergarten position gets refilled at the last minute by former Ski Champion Tanner Westyn, her nicely ordered life gets turned upside down. He’s competitive, egocentric, and annoying. So why can’t she seem to stay away from him? Can they stop competing long enough for them to both win in the game of love? It’s always fun to return to a Donovan town! I loved the premise of two Kindergarten teachers with such different backgrounds— the mousy small town girl and the famous former skier. Tanner’s cocky attitude was off-putting at first, but he grew on me quickly. I caught myself getting frustrated with Chloe’s insecurities and jealousy, but at the heart of it, she is such a sweet and caring character. When she finds her confidence, she’s amazing!! I enjoyed watching their relationship evolve, and loved their banter, connection, and the emotions that came out. Once again the family added so much charm, entertainment, and a little drama to the story! I can’t wait to see what is next! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️

  • Wanting You

Wanting You is book 3 in the Donovans Sweetbriar Ridge series by Samantha Chase and up next is Chloe and Tanner. Chloe is a kindergarten teacher, the quiet twin who doesn’t like to make waves and gets along with everyone. With the town growing they need another kindergarten teacher. She’s excited for another teacher to join the school but at the last minute there’s a change and when she meets the new teacher, Tanner Westyn , who is pompous, egomaniac, and a former alpine skier they get off to a very rocky start, but there’s underlying tension between them. What happens next is frustration, unexpected feelings, competitiveness, banter, and so much more… Read on to see how it all ends… I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy (ARC) of this book from Valentine PR. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
