Greenland is the world's largest non-continental island, in the far northeast of North America, largely within the Arctic.

Today Greenlandic culture is a blending of traditional Inuit (Kalaallit) and Scandinavian culture. Inuit, or Kalaallit, culture has a strong artistic tradition, dating back thousands of years. The Kalaallit are known for an art form of figures called tupilak or a "spirit object."

Greenland is the home of many Icebergs and glaciers (especially the Ilulissat Icefjord).

And a variety of animal lif, such as whales, seals, walruses, musk oxen, reindeer/caribou and polar bears.

Greenland also has a successful, albeit small, music culture.

Wink Travel Guides introduce you to the best world travel destinations, in a clear and concise way, illustrated by photos.
