#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER
The seven-time #1 New York Times bestselling author, Fox News star, and radio host Mark R. Levin explains how the dangers he warned against in the “timely yet timeless” (David Limbaugh, author of Jesus Is Risen) bestseller Liberty and Tyranny have come to pass.
In 2009, Mark R. Levin galvanized conservatives with his unforgettable manifesto Liberty and Tyranny, by providing a philosophical, historical, and practical framework for halting the liberal assault on Constitution-based values. That book was about standing at the precipice of progressivism’s threat to our freedom and now, over a decade later, we’re fully over that precipice and paying the price.
In American Marxism, Levin explains how the core elements of Marxist ideology are now pervasive in American society and culture—from our schools, the press, and corporations, to Hollywood, the Democratic Party, and the Biden presidency—and how it is often cloaked in deceptive labels like “progressivism,” “democratic socialism,” “social activism,” and more. With his characteristic trenchant analysis, Levin digs into the psychology and tactics of these movements, the widespread brainwashing of students, the anti-American purposes of Critical Race Theory and the Green New Deal, and the escalation of repression and censorship to silence opposing voices and enforce conformity. Levin exposes many of the institutions, intellectuals, scholars, and activists who are leading this revolution, and provides us with some answers and ideas on how to confront them.
As Levin writes: “The counter-revolution to the American Revolution is in full force. And it can no longer be dismissed or ignored for it is devouring our society and culture, swirling around our everyday lives, and ubiquitous in our politics, schools, media, and entertainment.” And, like before, Levin seeks to rally the American people to defend their liberty.
Reviews
First and foremost, Marxism is a theory. This book is the exact opposite of workers’ theory in the United States. This is propaganda against the working class and represents no sane representation of someone that has actually read anything on workers’ liberation nor their struggle to free themselves of the working class.

Mark Levin is utilizing “American Marxism” to fearmonger and spread propaganda in a time where people are vulnerable to the political polarization and the ideals of the “culture war” that is gripping the United States. He spreads fears that America is turning Marxist when he and his supporters probably laughed at people who stated that Trump would implement authoritarian and fascist policies during his presidency. He also takes any criticism of capitalism to the extreme, labeling them as communists. Every economic system is flawed and not everyone who has issues with capitalism wants communism. This isn’t “independent free-thinking,” it’s right-wing bias and spreading irrational fear.

As an Independent, and as someone who listens to both sides and does their own independent research, I like forming my own opinions on things rather than hearing which side force feeds me what I should know and what I shouldn’t know. Now, I’ve noticed this country changing for this worse before I knew this book existed, and this book is living proof to what is exactly going on in this country right now! Now, let me digress real quick because this is somewhat relevant; I’ve never been a giant Trump fan like his supporters are, but I liked most of his polices. They worked. Also, I would take 100 Trump’s before I take 1 Marxist. And in this content right now, it’s being run by Marxists. Trump is someone who called out what the government for what it really is: it’s a corrupted deep state. It’s NOTHING compared to what leftists make him and his family out to be. As time continues to go on, I see what his opposition tried to do, and is currently still doing, and that’s to get rid of him so they can move towards their Marxist agenda. This book is literally far from ‘propaganda.’ Like I said, it’s living proof of what we’re actually going through as a country right now. P.S. Mark mentions the “Frankfurt School” as the “Franklin School.” It’s a pretty substantial error if a reader isn’t familiar with the Frankfurt School, but I personally don’t believe it’s something to criticize. I remember writing a paper for school, and I literally did the same thing Mark did. I accidentally used a different term instead of using the right term… and the wrong term just happened to stick in my head when I kept writing and writing. This kind of mistake is pretty common among writers. P.P.S. Mark Levin also quotes a lot in this book. There are some who didn’t like that, but he did this on purpose. If you’re familiar with Mark, you know the guy can write a book. Sooo, it’s not like he’s lazy or anything. But anyways, he purposely wanted to put all of these quotes together in a single book so he could let his viewers, listeners, and the rest of the public know what we’re in for.
