White Foxes, Full Moon

White Foxes, Full Moon

When Maring and her brother Seri, along with their friend Del, watch nine white foxes playing on the barrens, they know the must be careful. Because foxes might not be merely foxes, and Maring and Seri have shapechanger blood. And when it turns out those foxes are indeed Folk, and Folk who don't appreciate being spied on, they watch in fear and awe. But then something in Seri's shapechanger magic--something that somehow does not affect Maring, too--calls to the Folk and they spirit him away to the Otherworld. Now Maring and Del have to figure out how to get him back, and they have to do it before he wastes away. "White Foxes, Full Moon" is a fantasy short story with an anthropological flavor.
