D.C. Dead

D.C. Dead

Old friends converge on a new case when Stone Barrington is called to America’s capital in this explosive thriller in the #1 New York Times bestselling series.

After a shocking loss, Stone Barrington is at loose ends, unsure if he wants to stay in New York and continue his work as a partner at Woodman and Weld. It comes as a welcome relief when he’s summoned to Washington, D.C., by President Will Lee. The President has a special operation that calls for Stone’s unique skill set, and it’s a mission that will reunite him with his former partner—in bed and in crime—Holly Barker.

Reviews
  • Decent Read

I found D.C. Dead to be a bit subpar, in relation to most of the other novels in the Barrington series. Woods is always readable, but the action and the characterizations in this work are very predictable.

Marvelous whodunit! Another Great Woods yarn. Five stars all the way.

  • Waste of time

I don't know quite where to start with the shortcomings of this book. I simply could not believe how lacking in depth and originality this was. I actually read the whole book thinking that something interesting may actually happen- my mistake. Don't waste your time.

I love love love this book as all of Stuart Woods' books. He is brilliant and keeps the stories fresh. I have read all that he has written and I am a fan for life.

  • Can't get past the third chapter!!

I usually love the Stone Barrington books. But, I can't get past the third chapter in this book because the author can't even get the name correct of a character that was introduced several books ago. It bothers me. Maybe Stuart should get a new editor.
