Multiple Images 1.0

Multiple Images 1.0

This work is influenced by the work of two photographers who approach combining two or more images in a very different way. The first is Jerry Uelsmann who combined two or more images in a darkroom to produce dreamlike images so seamlessly that they could almost be seen as real events. The other is Andreas Gursky who combines two or more images in Photoshop to produce images that look like a traditional photograph. I have been producing multiple images since 1970. First by darkroom masking and blending, than multiple exposure, than Adobe Photoshop, and most recently the iOS app Union. I no longer do darkroom work, but continue to work with Photoshop and Union. Some of my photographs are clearly altered and others quite intentionally look like slightly off traditional photographs.
