The Gnome's Gneiss
In the time when the threats of atomic warfare appeared almost daily in the newspapers, Kevan MacGreene found himself looking for a job at a strange company called Troubleshooters Inc. Over there he learned of gneisses, rocks made of thin layers of minerals, and a gnome named Alviss, one of the finest gneiss-makers in the world. MacGreene also learned that gnome's masterpiece gneiss was destroyed as a result of an atom bomb testing and he is now on the verge of declaring open war against all mortals.
