British Values and a Preparation to Visit Rome

British Values and a Preparation to Visit Rome

British Values and a Preparation to Visit Rome takes an original look at how Britain became a moral enterprise and a free society.

"British values" look at these, through the eyes of Athena, Trajan, St Paul and Mahatma Gandhi. These are the big four. You will say they are not British. True, but the values they symbolize have grown in Britain-transplanted, like seed potatoes from Greece, Spain, present day Turkey and India.

Athena was the goddess of social wisdom; Trajan represents stoicism; St Paul stoicism; and Gandhi soul force. Alongside other classical figures in this book.

Preparation for a visit to Rome, gives clearly an idea as to how classics and human interpretation can resuscitate a new way of looking at Rome. Uniting classical figures with that feeling which only exists, when one thinks of "The eternal city of Rome"

Both areas give a fresh take on Classics. The UK, Rome and just breathe a fresh breath of air. Particularly in this current world climate, where we need to look at the world with beauty and passion as shown in this book.
