The Beatles, Part 1: Vol. 1

The Beatles, Part 1: Vol. 1

After the band’s surge of popularity, the Bureau opened an extensive file on The Beatles, looking into everything from the British rockers’ song lyrics, to concert venues and political beliefs. The file consists mainly of concern from U.S. citizens and higher-up American officials that The Beatles and the subsequent “Beatlemania” that swept the country in the 1960s would undermine America and lead others (possibly other Americans) to believe England was superior because of the British rockers. More than half of the file involves John Lennon’s “radical” political beliefs and his wife, Yoko Ono, posing nude for an album.

This book was created from a scan of the original artifact, and as such the text of the book is not selectable or searchable.
