Your Sanctification

Your Sanctification

Another quality eBook from Chapel Library. Charles H. Spurgeon (1834-1892) examines the doctrine of sanctification, affirming the threefold nature of the work accomplished by the Trinity and demonstrating the value of real holiness. The three meanings of sanctification as used in the Old Testament (to set apart, to declare holy, to make holy) are explored to better understand how the word “sanctification” is used. Spurgeon describes the beginning of sanctification in regeneration, the way sanctification is carried out through mortification of sin, and the end of sanctification that Christ should put to death all our sins, making us perfect even as our Father is in heaven.
