Building European Defense in the Context of U.S. Strategic Restraint

This article discusses the future of European defense in light of the decreasing U.S. willingness to take the lead. Analyzing the change of attitude in the United States since Afghanistan and Iraq, and musing on the effects of the crisis in Ukraine, the author concludes that the United States should co
